An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse to join our well established team on Maple A (Relocated from Aspen ward) at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle. The unit accommodates elective and surgical procedures looking after colorectal, upper and lower GI, urology and gynae.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be expected to be responsible for their own team of patients and duties include completing admission packages, medication administration (oral, sub-cutaneous, intravenous and intra-muscular) care of patients pre and post operatively, management of naso-gastric tubes, drain management, wound management, stoma care, discharge planning.

The successful applicant will be committed to providing excellent nursing care to our diverse group of patients. This is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate and increase your knowledge, experience and skills on a fast paced ward area.

Successful applicants must be able to provide high quality safe nursing care which is driven by patient experience and evidence based practice.
