A healthcare community interest company in Yarm is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for its prison services at HMP Kirklevington. This role involves providing primary care nursing and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. A strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and managing complex health needs is essential. The role offers a salary range of £31,049 to £37,796 annually pro rata, along with benefits such as access to NHS Pension and flexible working options.
We're recruiting now for part time (28.5 hours per week) Band 5 RGN primary care nurses to work within our prison services across HMP Kirklevington.
Every day is different for a prison nurse, as you'll work within varied roles including:
We are a multi-disciplinary team collaborating with other services like GP, Optometry, Dentist, Podiatry, Physiotherapy, Sexual health, Substance Misuse and Mental health. To help us deliver our extensive range of services, you'll be a qualified registered nurse (RGN) with a passion to deliver high-quality clinical care and a commitment to the rehabilitation of offenders. You'll be self-motivated, have a sound knowledge base and excellent communications skills.
Experience of working within the prison environment is not necessary as full induction and training will be provided.
