Job description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse to join Outpatient Network, supporting the delivery of high-quality elective and outpatient services across multiple NHS partner sites. Working as part of our insourcing team, you will play a key role in providing safe, compassionate, and efficient care to patients across a range of specialties, including surgical, medical, and diagnostic clinics. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a flexible, patient-focused environment, helping NHS Trusts to reduce waiting times and improve access to care while maintaining the highest clinical standards.

Main duties of the job

Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients attending elective and outpatient clinics across a range of specialties.

Support consultants and clinical teams in the assessment, treatment, and follow-up of patients within outpatient and minor procedure settings.

Prepare clinic areas, equipment, and documentation in line with infection prevention and control and governance standards.

Undertake patient observations, record clinical information accurately, and maintain clear, timely documentation.

Provide effective communication, reassurance, and support to patients and their families throughout the outpatient journey.

Administer medications and assist with clinical procedures in accordance with professional standards and local protocols.

Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including consultants, healthcare assistants, and administrative staff, to ensure smooth clinic flow and continuity of care.

Adhere to all Outpatient Network and NHS policies on clinical governance, safeguarding, confidentiality, and health and safety.

Participate in audit, mandatory training, and continuous professional development activities to maintain and enhance clinical skills.
