East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Cardiac Suite. You will assist the cardiologist in diagnostic and interventional procedures and serve as a scrub nurse on a rotational basis.

Work with Senior Sister/Charge Nurse to deliver and evaluate nursing care in a high-intensity cardiology department. The role supports a 24/7 PPCI service with ongoing education to develop required competencies for acute cardiology care and on-call duties.

Job overview

We are recruiting for a Registered Nurse - Fixed Catheter Lab who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

The Cardiac Suite at East and North Hertfordshire NHS trust, is currently looking for a dynamic and motivated registered nurse to join our progressive cardiology team. The area provides 24/7 primary angioplasty service and is continuously expanding and developing the service provided, to ensure high quality patient care.The department has developed a continuing education program, to achieve the required competencies to work effectively in the day to day provision of acute cardiology services including on call cover for primary PCI.

The ideal candidate will provide excellent time management and nursing care to patients with the designated ward/department when on duty, and complete competencies regarding clinics and emergency procedures in order to carry out delivery of care to a complex group of patients.

Main duties of the job

  • Broad knowledge of cardiology and the management of cardiac conditions, with an understanding of ECGs
