The Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (North Wales) invites applications for a fixed term/secondment post supporting the Haematology and Oncology inpatient ward at The North Wales Cancer Treatment Centre, Bodelwyddan. This position is open to staff currently employed by BCUHB.

Experience in caring for patients undergoing systemic anti-cancer therapy and radiotherapy is expected. Welsh language ability is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are welcome to apply.

Job Overview

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE WILL ONLY ACCEPT APPLICATIONS FROM STAFF CURRENTLY EMPLOYED BY BETSI CADWALADR UNIVERSITY HEALTH BOARD This post is Fixed term/Secondment for 12 months to meet the needs of the service.

This is a full time post on a busy Haematology /Oncology inpatient ward at The North Wales Cancer Treatment Centre, Bodelwyddan. We deliver Chemotherapy / Radiotherapy to patients from North Wales.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will gain experience working within Oncology and Haematology, the post holder will gain in depth knowledge of the management of patients undergoing systemic anti-cancer therapy and radiotherapy treatment as well as skills to promote effective nursing care at the highest of standard.
