University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust in Burton-upon-Trent is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department. You will rotate through Pitstop, majors, resus and the urgent treatment centre, delivering and planning care while mentoring junior staff and pre-registration students.

The role requires NMC registration and experience in an acute trust. A structured induction, ongoing education and leadership development are provided to support your professional

Qualifications

• NMC registration is required.
• Experience in an acute trust is required.
• Ability to assess risks and take appropriate action.
• Ability to manage workload and prioritise care.
• Excellent communication with patients and the multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Prioritise, assess, plan, evaluate and deliver care to a high standard.

• Contribute to the clinical governance process.

Job description

Registered nurse post in the emergency department at Queen's Hospital Burton, run by University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust. The nurse rotates through Pitstop, majors, resus and the urgent treatment centre, delivering and planning care while mentoring junior staff and pre-registration students. The department treats both adults and children, with training provided for both age groups. Applicants need NMC registration, and the trust may be unable to sponsor a visa.
