Job description

EAU4 at Torbay Hospital is seeking highly motivated, innovative, and experienced nurses to join our dynamic team. EAU4 is an emergency admission unit supporting the medical take.

Working on the unit is both exciting and challenging. We collaborate closely with the Emergency Department and Acute Medical Unit, caring for a diverse group of acutely unwell medical patients with conditions such as Cardiovascular, Respiratory, Gastroenterology, and Chronic health issues. Staff are also exposed to managing patients with higher acuity within the unit.

Full-time hours are available.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Work as part of a team on the unit as a Staff Nurse to ensure seamless service delivery.
  2. Participate in assessing care needs, developing, implementing, and evaluating care plans, promoting high standards, demonstrating compassion, and upholding patient dignity.
  3. Contribute as a skilled member of the multidisciplinary team.
  4. Work within the Urgent Care team, fostering good inter-departmental relationships.
  5. Act as a clinical advisor on nursing issues to maintain high standards of care, utilizing evidence-based practice.
  6. Participate in direct patient care and facilitate effective discharge planning.
