Avon Search, recruiting on behalf of a welcoming care home in Reading, Berkshire, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its dedicated team.

You will deliver person-centred nursing care, lead and support a care team, and develop care plans for residents, including those with dementia. Full-time, days or nights, salary negotiable.

Qualifications

• Valid UK NMC registration and an active PIN.
• Experience within a nursing or healthcare setting.
• A compassionate and caring approach.
• Good clinical knowledge and decision‑making skills.
• Confidence in leading and supporting a care team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A genuine passion for delivering outstanding care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and oversee high-quality, person-centred nursing care.
• Lead and support care staff during your shift.
• Assess residents’ individual nursing needs and develop appropriate care plans.
• Administer medication safely and maintain accurate clinical records.
• Monitor residents’ health and respond appropriately to changes in their condition.
• Support residents living with dementia and memory-related conditions.
• Promote dignity, independence and individual choice.
• Build positive relationships with residents, relatives and healthcare professionals.
• Ensure clinical standards, policies and procedures are consistently maintained.
