Job description

As a Registered Nurse with Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary, professional team to assess care needs, develop, implement, and evaluate care programmes.

Our staff are committed to providing high standards of individualized care, maintaining patients' privacy and dignity. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care tailored to individual needs.

Applicants must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a patient-centered approach, be highly motivated, and capable of working autonomously and collaboratively.

Responsibilities include:

1. Managing a team of 6-8 acute patients.
2. Planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.
3. Escalating care to the specialist multidisciplinary team when necessary.
4. Supporting student nurses and newly qualified nurses.
5. Administering medications, including intravenous medications, epidurals, PCA, and syringe drivers.
6. Developing skills and taking responsibility for personal learning and development through CPD.

About Cromie Ward:

A fast turnover, 25-bed acute ward with specialties in urology, general surgery, and gastroenterological medicine. Occasionally, other specialties such as orthopedics and gynecology are included, providing a variety of skill development opportunities.
