Job summary

Hill Care Ltd. is seeking a Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) to provide high-quality nursing care within our care home in Northallerton. You will work under the Home Manager, supervise staff on shift, and ensure a safe, compassionate environment for residents.

You will assess care needs, administer medicines, maintain care plans in line with NMC guidelines, and liaise with families and health professionals. Experience and a genuine interest in elder care are essential.

Qualifications

• 1st Level Nurse qualification required.
• Effective communication at all levels.
• Genuine interest in working with the relevant client group.
• Satisfactory police check and PO VA list verification where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that staff contribute to the efficient running of the Care Home and act on behalf of Home Manager when required.
• Report ill health and arrange GP/professional visits as needed.
• Maintain and review Clients' care plans in agreement with Clients, Relatives and Health Care Professionals, following NMC guidelines.
• Assess care needs and provide health supervision and direct nursing care as required.
• Provide ongoing client assessments and update care plans bi-annually or as needed.
• Administer prescribed medicines following policy and NMC guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality at all times.
• Supervise junior staff and instruct new staff in care home operations.
• Attend mandatory training days/courses as required.
