We have vacancies within theEmergency Assessment Unit (EAU) and Ward 6 (Cardiology) on the South Tynesidesite (Full-time / Part-time).
You must be an NMCRegistered Adult Nurse or a nursing student due to qualify within the nextmonth. RecentRN or student management experience on an EAU / cardiology ward is preferred but not essential.
For both roles we are looking for nurses whoare enthusiastic and motivated, who can demonstrate a caring and compassionateattitude, who have a desire to provide high quality, effective and efficientpatient care.
You must work well in ateam and be able to communicate effectively with colleagues, patients, andrelatives/carers. You will be required to be receptive to change, dynamic anddemonstrate active assistance and support when working as part of a team.
If you are a new registrant, you will besupported through our 12-month multi-professional preceptorship programme byour Preceptorship Lead and in clinical practice by an allocated and experiencedclinical practitioner. We will provide guidance, support, andfeedback throughout your transitional period while you develop the necessaryknowledge and skills to become a confident and competent practitioner.
Aspart of the role you will be responsible and accountablefor the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care forpatients designated to your care. You will be expected to supervisenon-registered staff as stipulated by the NMC under the requirements of thedelegation, and always work to the NMC code and Trust policies and procedures.
You will be expected to provide effective leadership and assist with the managementand organisation of the ward/department in the absence of the ward manager orjunior sister / charge nurse, whilst complying with the Trusts vision, valuesand behavioural compact.
You musthave the ability to provide and receive complex, sensitive, or contentiousinformation and be able to work as part of a team as well as the ability to workwithout supervision. You must be able to demonstrate effective communication andleadership skills and be competent in the use of IT such as Microsoft Office.
You must also have a good understanding and knowledge basisof national health and social care policy.
Interviews are scheduled to take place on 16th June 2025, and shortlisted candidates must be able to attend a face-to-face interview.
