Overview

Registered Nurse - Bank | Elm View Care Home, Moor Lane, Clevedon BS21 6EU | Bank Shifts | £17.91 - £20.86 per hour depending on experience

This role may include opportunities to work bank shifts at Bupa Druid Stoke Care Home, 31 Druid Stoke Avenue, Bristol BS9 1DE. We make health happen.

Responsibilities
  • Taking responsibility for the well-being of residents and ensuring their physical, emotional and social needs are met.
  • Coaching and guiding the team, providing formal and informal teaching programmes for colleagues and other care professionals.
  • Carrying out assessments and developing, implementing and evaluating individualised care plans for each resident.
  • Monitoring work areas and practices to ensure safety and compliance with relevant standards, policies and legislation.
Key Skills / Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin; responsible for managing the unit alongside clinical duties in the home, including oversight of care, administering and ordering medication, reviewing and evaluating care plans, and providing clinical guidance to the care team.
  • Experience ensuring policies and standards are maintained to a high clinical standard.
  • Ability to provide clinical guidance for care teams and support all CQC tasks.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building with residents and their families, providing kindness and support.
  • Effective communication and reporting skills for handover of clinical issues to team members and health care professionals.
  • Night-shift requirements: enhanced skills for patient safety, ability to work alone with limited support, strong critical thinking, confidence, self-reliance, and calmness in emergencies.
