Job summary

Splendid Hospitality Group is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Derwent Lodge Care Home bank team in the UK. This zero-hours role offers flexibility to tailor your schedule around your life.

You will lead the care team, monitor resident wellbeing, ensure governance through audits, and deliver compassionate, dignified care. A current NMC registration and clinical experience are essential; DBS checks apply.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration and knowledge of up-to-date clinical practices are required.
• Experience working in a clinical setting is essential.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse you will help put a smile on our residents faces, by spending quality time with residents and their families. You’ll create a safe and supportive environment for residents, using your professional judgement to make clinical decisions.

You’ll lead, supervise and direct the care team making sure our close-knit team works together to make our home feel warm and our residents comfortable and safe. In this role, it’s not just about providing leadership and care it’s about creating moments of joy, dignity, and connection. You’ll help write the small, meaningful chapters in someone’s story, and in return you'll have the autonomy to do things the right way and be truly valued and respected for what you do. Please note, that all our roles are subject to an enhanced police check (Disclosure Barring Service – DBS) before employment commences.

What you will do in this Splendid role

You can expect a wide range of responsibilities, from developing tailored care plans to providing medicine safely and delivering excellence across everything you do. You'll get too:

• Lead the care team making sure we are meeting residents medical, physical and emotional requirements
• Monitor the wellbeing of each resident, ensuring that new needs are met and care plans amended
• Ensuring compliance with our clinical governance framework, completing regular audits
• Mentor and motivate the care team
• Champion resident dignity which is person cantered and respectful of individual choices
• Provide comfort and reassurance when residents need a little extra care
