Join Our Emergency Department Team in 2021

Are you seeking a new challenge and direction in 2021? Do you want to be part of a friendly, focused Emergency Department team providing high-quality care? If so, the Darent Valley ED team welcomes your application!

As a nurse in our Emergency Department, you will join a dedicated team of highly skilled nurses in one of the busiest and highest performing departments in Kent, serving over 100,000 patients annually.

We are passionate about delivering the best care for our patients and their families. To achieve this, we are looking to recruit motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 Nurses who share our vision for safer, faster, and better urgent and emergency care.

Application Requirements
  • Shortlisted applicants will need to pass a basic drug calculation test with a minimum score of 95% to proceed to interview.
  • Working days and shift patterns will be agreed with the line manager to meet service needs.
  • Applicants should have excellent communication skills and thrive in challenging, rapidly changing environments.
  • Current acute healthcare knowledge is essential, and candidates should be able to demonstrate this during the interview.
Support and Development

You will be supported by a Team Leader, Practice Development Nurse, and Matron. There are also opportunities for further study, including HDU, Mentorship, and Emergency Care Practice courses.
