The Royal Air Force (RAF) Nursing Service offers a Registered Nurse (Adult) role after Basic Training, assigned to Joint Hospital Groups (JHGs) or the Royal Centre for Defence Medicine (RCDM) across UK locations. You will work on aeromedical evacuation missions, provide primary and secondary healthcare, and participate in a supported clinical rotation programme for newly qualified nurses.

Location is UK-wide on an RAF Station, with potential overseas service during exercises and operations.

Qualificações

• Aeromedical Evacuation—transferring patients by air (fixed/rotary wing aircraft).
• Clinical rotation programme for newly qualified nurses with support.
• Provision of Primary & Secondary healthcare.
• Regular Service Start pay equivalent to NHS Band 7.

Responsabilidades

• Provide aeromedical evacuation duties as part of clinical teams.
• Work within Joint Hospital Groups (JHGs) or the Royal Centre for Defence Medicine (RCDM) as assigned.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and post-registration courses where available.
• Deliver high standards of patient care across Defence healthcare settings.

As a Registered Nurse (Adult), within the Princess Mary\'s RAF Nursing Service (PMRAFNS), after Basic Training you will be assigned to work within one of the Joint Hospital Groups (JHGs) or alternatively the Royal Centre for Defence Medicine (RCDM).

Typical responsibilities include:

• Aeromedical Evacuation - transferring patients by air (fixed/rotary wing aircraft)
• Be treated, trained and supported as a professional. Fully supported clinical rotation programme for newly qualified nurses. Options to undertake post-registration specialist courses
• Provide Primary & Secondary healthcare
• Regular Service Start pay equivalent to NHS Band 7

This role will be located anywhere in the UK on an RAF Station and includes the potential of overseas service during exercises/operations.
