Job summary

Alexander House Care Home in Exeter (Pinhoe) is recruiting a Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) to deliver clinically led, person-centred care across shifts. You will assess needs, develop and review care plans, administer medications and monitor residents' health to maintain high standards.

As a shift leader, you will support and guide the care team, make timely clinical decisions, ensure accurate documentation and maintain dignity, independence and wellbeing for residents.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with an active NMC PIN.
• Strong clinical judgement and decision-making skills.
• Willingness to lead shifts and support a team.

Our newly built care home is based in the charming suburb of Pinhoe, Exeter. We offer exceptional standards of Nursing, Residential, Dementia and Respite care for 67 residents., As Registered Nurse, you will play a central role in delivering high quality, clinically led care while taking responsibility for maintaining safe, effective and person centred practice across your shift. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership, ensuring standards are upheld and care is delivered consistently in line with best practice. You will assess needs, develop and review care plans, administer medication and monitor changes in physical and mental health. Leading shifts, you will support and guide the care team, make informed clinical decisions and respond promptly to changing needs, ensuring continuity and quality of care at all times. Working closely with residents, families and healthcare professionals, you will use your judgement and experience to maintain high standards, ensure accurate documentation and contribute to a well organised, professional environment where dignity, independence and wellbeing are always prioritised. The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.

• Registered Nurse RGN or RMN with an active NMC PIN
• Strong clinical judgement and decision making skills
• Confidence in leading shifts and supporting a team
• Good communication and leadership skills
• Experience in a care home setting is beneficial, however we welcome nurses from a range of backgrounds who are keen to develop within this environment

• £22.36 per hour
• Contracted to 36-48 hours per week
• Paid DBS, NMC, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)
