Job summary

Fresenius Kabi Limited is seeking a registered nurse to support enteral nutrition in the community and hospital settings across Somerset. You will work with NHS colleagues, provide autonomous patient care, and participate in training for patients and carers.

The role is part-time (28 hours over 4 days, Mon-Fri, 7am–9pm). Starting salary is £31,260.80 with an annual bonus of £962.40 and a company car or car allowance.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with active NMC registration
• Experience in community or hospital settings is desirable
• Ability to train patients, families and carers on enteral care
• Autonomous working within multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities

• Aid safe discharge and ongoing care of enterally fed patients
• Liaise with Dietitians and Nutritional teams in the community
• Train patients, families and carers in enteral feeding
• Manage a patient caseload with community support
• Visit patients for care of feeding tubes and pumps as required
• Comply with the NMC Code of Conduct and professional practice
• Work autonomously in community and hospital settings in partnership with NHS colleagues
• Operate as part of Fresenius Kabi's enteral nursing service
• Role based across Somerset with 28 hours over 4 days (Mon-Fri)

Job description

Are you a passionate and patient focused Registered Nurse, with experience or a keen interest in Enteral Nutrition?, If this is the role for you, your responsibilities will include:

• Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to aid the facilitation of a safe discharge and ongoing care of our enterally fed patients


• Directly liaising with Dietitians and Nutritional teams to manage the care and nutritional support of our patients within the community


• Responsible for the training of our enterally fed patients, families and carers


• Managing a patient caseload, providing ongoing support in the community for patients, carers and healthcare professionals


• Regular patient visits may include the care of Naso gastric tubes, gastrostomy tubes, pumps and advice



• Working within the NMC Code of Conduct and professional practice
