Job summary

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with active NMC registration.
• Experience in acute medical wards or gastroenterology is desirable.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and follow the NMC code of practice.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate and deliver effective nursing care for a group of patients by assessing needs, planning, implementing and evaluating care.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• After preceptorship, supervise Health Care Assistants and learners.
• Adhere to the NMC code of practice and professional guidelines.

We deliver bespoke training in our clinical educator & as such it is an exciting time to join our fast paced, thriving ward. We are part of the wider GI, Renal and Hepatology directorate.

• Under the direction of the Nurse-in-Charge you will co-ordinate, and deliver effective quality nursing care by assessing the needs, planning, implementing & evaluating the care for a group of patients.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Following a period of Preceptorship take responsibility for the supervision of Health Care Assistants and other learners.
• To work within the NMC code of practice and professional guidelines
