Job summary

Craighead Care Home is seeking a Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with an active NMC PIN to join our compassionate team.

You will deliver clinically led care, assess needs, administer medications and lead shifts, while supporting a friendly multidisciplinary team and fostering dignity and wellbeing for residents.

Ongoing training and clear progression opportunities are provided within a well led environment, with paid PVG, pension and uniform provided. Five and a half weeks annual leave is included.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with RGN or RMN status and active NMC PIN.
• Strong clinical judgement and decision-making skills.
• Confident in leading shifts and supporting a team.
• Good communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience in a care home setting is beneficial, but all backgrounds are welcome.

Responsibilities

• As Registered Nurse, you will deliver high quality, clinically led care while maintaining safe, effective and person-centred practice across your shift.
• You will assess needs, develop and review care plans, administer medications and monitor changes in health.
• Leading shifts, you will support and guide the care team, make informed clinical decisions and respond promptly to changing needs for continuity and quality of care.
• You will work with residents, families and healthcare professionals to uphold high standards, ensure accurate documentation and promote dignity, independence and wellbeing.

Registered Nurse RGN or RMN Contract

• £21.09 per hour
• Contracted to 33.75 hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Ongoing training, clinical updates and funded development, with clear and supported progression into Senior, Clinical Lead and Management roles, within a well led, professional environment where your skills are recognised and developed.

Role Overview

As Registered Nurse, you will play a central role in delivering high quality, clinically led care while taking responsibility for maintaining safe, effective and person centred practice across your shift. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership, ensuring standards are upheld and care is delivered consistently in line with best practice.

You will assess needs, develop and review care plans, administer medication and monitor changes in physical and mental health. Leading shifts, you will support and guide the care team, make informed clinical decisions and respond promptly to changing needs, ensuring continuity and quality of care at all times.

Working closely with residents, families and healthcare professionals, you will use your judgement and experience to maintain high standards, ensure accurate documentation and contribute to a well organised, professional environment where dignity, independence and wellbeing are always prioritised.

What We Are Looking For

• Registered Nurse RGN or RMN with an active NMC PIN

• Experience in a care home setting is beneficial, however we welcome nurses from a range of backgrounds who are keen to develop within this environment
