Required Qualifications:

Graduate of a Registered Nurse program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required. If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses are also required: 1) CRNA Medication Administration Certificate - https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F 2) NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification - https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0 PLEASE NOTE: This posting is scheduled to close at 23:59 of the posting end date but may be filled earlier if a Regular Employee who holds a position within this unit/program/office expresses their interest in this vacancy by 23:59 on the 5th calendar day following the posting date, under LOU #25. Additional Required Qualifications

Graduate of Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse program or recognized equivalent required. Current and active registration with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (C.A.R.N.A.) and/or the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Alberta (C.R.P.N.A) required. Heart and Stroke Foundation BLS Level C Health Care Provider is required Experience in mental health or related settings required. Ability to provide leadership and function as a team member. Ability to work independently. Ability to work in a fast paced and, at times, highly stressful environment. Strong assessment skills to recognize and respond appropriately to patient changes in status. Strong communication skills and ability to adapt communication style to meet varying needs. Good organizational and conflict resolution skills required. Excellent time management skills. Proven dependability. Ability to be objective in decision making. Ability to be proactive with independent learning needs and up to date with current competencies. Mental health experience.

Preferred Qualifications

I.V. certification and Alaris pump training preferred. Current Non Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) training preferred. Charge nurse experience preferred. Working knowledge in addictions preferred.
