Job summary

Oaklea Dementia Care Unit, within Ashlea Court Care Home, is part of Willinbrook Healthcare and provides specialist dementia care for up to 26 residents.

As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver clinically led care for residents with complex needs; you will assess needs, develop care plans, administer medications and monitor health.

You will lead shifts, support the team and ensure safe, person-centred care with progression into Senior, Clinical Lead and Management roles.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with active NMC PIN.
  • Strong clinical judgement and decision making.
  • Experience leading shifts and supporting a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in complex care or mental health is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Assess needs, develop and review care plans, administer medications and monitor changes in physical and mental health.
  • Lead shifts, support the care team, make informed clinical decisions and respond promptly to changing needs.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and maintain a well organised, structured, supportive environment.

Job description

Oaklea Dementia Care Unit, within Ashlea Court Care Home, is part of Willinbrook Healthcare and provides specialist dementia care for up to 26 residents. The unit offers a structured, supportive and homely environment designed to meet the needs of individuals living with dementia.

Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) Contract
  • £21.84 per hour (depending on experience)
  • £1,000 welcome bonus (T&Cs apply)
  • Annual NMC fees paid
  • Up to 44 hours per week
  • Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)
Ongoing training, clinical updates and funded development, with clear and supported progression into Senior, Clinical Lead and Management roles, within a well led, professional environment where your skills are recognised and developed.
Role Overview
As a Registered Nurse, you will play a central role in delivering high quality, clinically led care within a specialist complex care setting, supporting individuals with a range of complex physical and mental health needs and long term conditions.
You will assess needs, develop and review care plans, administer medication and monitor changes in physical and mental health. Leading shifts, you will support and guide the care team, make informed clinical decisions and respond promptly to changing needs, ensuring safe, effective and person centred care at all times.
Working closely with residents, families and healthcare professionals, you will use your clinical judgement to maintain high standards, ensure accurate documentation and contribute to a well organised, structured and supportive environment where dignity, independence and wellbeing are always prioritised.
What We Are Looking For
  • Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with an active NMC PIN
  • Strong clinical judgement and decision making skills
  • Confidence leading shifts and supporting a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in complex care or mental health is beneficial, however we welcome nurses from a range of backgrounds who are keen to develop within this environment
