About the Role

We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our team based in the CQC rated -Good, hospital in picturesque Emersons Green. You will be part of a close knit collaborative team who pride themselves in providing the highest standard of care to our patients and their families. Our inpatients team a comprised of experienced nurses and healthcare assistance supported by our welcoming Ward Manager. As well as undertaking basic ward duties you will oversee the new patient admissions, ensuring key documentation is completed and introducing them to the care team looking after them. All of our work is planned so you will be able to plan your week with ease knowing your work schedule won't change.

You will liaise with the wider Practice Plus Group medical team to ensure the patient's treatment is carried out whilst maintaining the principles of patient confidentiality.

Your sound clinical and infection control knowledge combined with your ability to solve problems and think both literally and laterally will enable you to coach and support others in your team. We encourage sharing of best practice across our site to develop your skills and take advantage of our excellent clinical leadership knowledge.

Please note the shits are a mix of the following:
long day 07:00 - 20:00
Early 07:00 - 15:00
Late 12:00 - 20:00
Night 19:00 - 08:00

What you'll be doing

To actively support the provision of the highest quality patient care through personal actions and continuous improvements.

To deliver direct patient care to a group of designated patients during their inpatient episode, delegating and supervising care delivery of HCA's ensuring optimal standards at all times. Ensuring care and practices meet all external requirements of regulatory bodies working to the NMC code of practice at all times and within the framework of Practice Plus Group policies and procedures

Effectively manage and lead staff, supplies and equipment. This will involve taking charge of the ward in the absence of more senior staff providing the appropriate level of competence has been achieved.

To teach junior staff, patients and relatives, promote health education and keep abreast of nursing developments and research.

To work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team, practicing and maintaining a high standard of clinical care and participating in all activities of the department to enhance the patients experience and ensuring safety for patients, visitors and staff in the department.
