Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Exeter Kidney Unit at Heavitree Haemodialysis Unit. The post is Band 5, with involvement across in-centre and home haemodialysis services, plus potential cover at other Devon dialysis units after training.
The role is based at Heavitree with allocated long Earlies and long Lates shifts; travel may be required to other sites as needed.
More detail about the role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse to join the Exeter Kidney Unit within the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust in a band 5 post based at Heavitree Haemodialysis Unit. Heavitree Haemodialysis provides in-centre dialysis for up to 120 patients in a Nurse-Led satellite dialysis unit. The unit also houses our busy Home Haemodialysis service. We are looking for a committed, flexible and enthusiastic individual who has excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Previous experience with performing Haemodialysis is beneficial but not essential. In house training is provided by our Renal Clinical Practice Facilitator and is competency based. The successful candidate must have the ability to travel as they may be required - once trained and competency assessed - to provide specialist cover at one of our other dialysis units in South or East Devon.
The unit is operational Monday to Saturday -including Bank Holidays. No night duties.
