Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, dedicated Registered Nurse for Glenmoor House Care Home in Corby, Northamptonshire. You will act as person in charge in the absence of the manager, ensuring high standards of care for residents and compliance with care plans.

Responsibilities include administering medication, wound care, catheterisation, liaising with families and GPs, and supervising care staff to deliver compassionate, person-centered care.

Qualifications

• Hold a First Level qualification and current NMC Registration.
• Demonstrate a minimum 2years experience and up to date knowledge of care, supported by relevant post-basic studies/qualification.
• Display good interpersonal skills and ability to instruct and demonstrate care activities.
• Have Sound knowledge of care planning and its practical application.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking nursing tasks including distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic medical conditions.
• Advising families of residents and GPs of changes in condition and keeping them informed and involved in choices for ongoing care.
• Responsibility for the effective deployment and supervision of staff within the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed during the period of duty and residents receive required care.
• Providing high standards of care by undertaking accurate assessment and planning.

ABOUT THE ROLE
