Overview

As a Registered Nurse at Avery Healthcare, you will act as the person in charge, standing in for the Manager as required and observing all instructions to act on their behalf. You will undertake nursing tasks such as distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding, and management of chronic medical conditions. You will also be responsible for the effective deployment and supervision of staff, ensuring high standards of care for the residents.

Responsibilities
  • Undertaking nursing tasks including distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic medical conditions.
  • Advising families of residents and GPs of any changes in condition, which gives rise to concern and keeps them informed and involved in choices for ongoing care.
  • Responsible for the effective deployment and supervision of staff within the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed during the period of duty and residents receive required care.
  • Providing high standards of care by undertaking accurate assessment and planning.
