The Renal Dialysis Unit is located at Southmead Hospital. This unit is run by the Richard Bright Renal Unit, a regional renal transplant center with five Haemodialysis Satellite Units across the South West area. Renal Dialysis Unit is the main dialysis unit within NBT, having 15 slots in the morning, afternoon, and twilight. We work long days, 11.5 hour and 7.5hr shifts.
As a Registered Nurse working in our service, you will be supported to learn the skills required to manage patients requiring renal replacement, both haemodialysis and hemodiafiltration.
Development opportunities: You will develop expert skills in haemodialysis and renal specialist care and have access to educational opportunities to attend renal specialist courses.
The Richard Bright renal unit also has an acute haemodialysis unit, an inpatient renal dialysis, home dialysis unit team, and renal transplant ward based in the Brunel Building, Southmead Hospital, Bristol.
