Registered Midwives - Continuity/Community Teams

It's an exciting time at WHH as we continue to drive forward our continuity of carer project in line with Better Births and further develop our service as WHH Maternity works towards outstanding.

We have opportunities for midwives to join our teams working across Warrington and Halton in hospital and community settings, caring for families throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postnatal period.

The maternity team at Warrington is friendly, welcoming, and passionate about positive change.

In 2021, our team was shortlisted for an HSJ Patient Safety Award and was nominated for the regional Nursing and Midwifery Award at the 2022 NHS Parliamentary Awards. In 2024, CQC rated our Maternity Services as "Good". Warrington & Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust values training and development, which will be offered based on the successful candidate's needs and career aspirations.

Main duties of the job

We seek midwives demonstrating excellence, kindness, and compassion, passionate about providing gold-standard care. Applications from those interested in population health are especially encouraged.

The successful candidate will have diverse post-qualification midwifery experience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for continuity and person-centered care. You will work across Warrington and Halton and need access to a vehicle.

• Currently completing or completed a Preceptorship Programme
• Practiced as an accountable midwife in acute and primary care settings
• Experience with caseloading/continuity of care models
• Experience with service development initiatives

Qualifications
