Job summary

Cygnet Appletree near Durham is seeking a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a current NMC pin to join a female mental health service. You will work 42 hours per week with patients with challenging and complex needs in a female-only unit.

The role involves producing high-quality nursing reports, collaborating with the clinical team, attending CPD, and administering medicines under NMC guidelines. Successful candidates will undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Youll be working 42 hours a week in a Female Mental health Service, with patients with challenging and complex needs at Cygnet Appletree. All applications must have at least 6 months post registration experience for this role.

Cygnet Appletree, near Durham, is a mental health hospital for women that includes Pippin Ward, a specialist PICU service and Bramley Ward, an intensive support service for women with a personality disorder and complex mental health needs. Our person‑centred service has been designed with wellness in mind, providing a safe and comfortable environment that promotes efficient rehabilitation and recovery. We are dedicated to understand, stabilise and break the traumatic cycles of relapse that can impact service users lives.

Responsibilities

• Under NMC guidelines, ensure that individual care plans are complete & maintained collectively with residents, relatives & other healthcare professionals

Requirements

• You An experienced RMN/RNLD with a current Pin Number, youll have Essential: The ability to maintain documentation, undertake audits & demonstrate integrity in your role
• A good understanding of the latest nursing practices
• A commitment to patient recovery in order to effectively monitor, manage & reduce risk
• Compassion, resilience & a dedication to empower & support service user independence

Desirable

• The ability to deputise in a clinical lead role
• An interest in leadership, research & assessment
