Job description

We are looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a passion for delivering outstanding care.

You’ll be working 42 hours a week at Cygnet Hospital Kidsgrove (to include days, nights, and alternate weekends). Cygnet Hospital Kidsgrove is our new hospital for women in Staffordshire, opening circa May 2025. Please note that start dates will likely be from April.

There will be two wards: a 20-bed Acute service for women and an 11-bed Highly Specialised Personality Disorder Rehabilitation service.

Crocus Ward provides a safe environment for women experiencing an acute episode of mental illness requiring emergency admission. Burleigh Ward offers specialised support for women with personality disorders and complex needs.

Your day-to-day…

  • Produce outstanding written reports based on nursing assessments & observations
  • Work closely with management to develop the service, audit, and improve quality
  • Attend training and engage in CPD to enhance knowledge and promote nursing
  • Ensure individual care plans are complete and maintained collaboratively with residents, relatives, and healthcare professionals, following NMC guidelines
  • Administer medicines according to healthcare procedures & guidelines
