Job responsibilities

We are looking for a Registered Nurse (RMN) with a passion for delivering outstanding care. Joining our brand new service, Cygnet Hospital Elowen, opening in July 2025, you will work 42 hours per week, including day/night and weekend shifts.

Cygnet Health Care has been providing a national network of specialist mental health services for over 30 years.

Cygnet Elowen is a 24-bed service comprising two wards, providing a specialist service for managing Eating Disorders, Personality Disorder, and Disordered Eating for women aged 18 and over. The service will also treat individuals with other co-morbid mental health problems, complex challenging behaviors, and self-harm.

  • Produce outstanding written reports based on your nursing assessments and observations.
  • Work closely with the management team to develop the service, conduct audits, and improve quality.
  • Attend all training and engage in CPD to further knowledge and promote nursing.
  • Ensure that individual care plans are complete and maintained collaboratively with patients, relatives, and other healthcare professionals, under NMC guidelines.
  • Administer medication safely, following local and national guidelines.
  • Provide effective direction and support to junior team members.
You

An experienced RMN with a current Pin Number, you'll have:

  • The ability to maintain documentation, undertake audits, and demonstrate integrity in your role.
  • A good understanding of the latest nursing practices.
  • A commitment to patient recovery to effectively monitor, manage, and reduce risk.
  • Compassion, resilience, and a dedication to empower and support service user independence.
Desirable:
  • Experience working within an Eating Disorder or Disordered Eating environment is preferred but not essential.
