Hospital at Home (Eating Disorders) is an exciting service developed in collaboration with the Thames Valley Provider Collaborative. The Hospital at Home (ED) team supports young people with eating disorders who meet the threshold for inpatient care. In some cases, admission will be prevented and in others, young people will be stepped down to this model following a short inpatient admission. Hospital at Home (ED) maximises the use of new technology, provides care close to home, reduces admission rates, length of stay, waiting times and provides earlier discharge from inpatient care.This position offers hybrid working and the current work pattern offers days working at home, please note that this can be subject to change due to the service need. This role is based at Slade House, Oxford.
To ensure that a responsive high quality, safe and patient focused service is delivered. To work effectively, and in partnership with, key members of the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) to promote and facilitate effective patient care and discharge. To influence the development and implementation of policies, protocols and guidelines relevant to the service. To develop and sustain close and effective working relationships with partner services. To support registered and unregistered nursing staff in their professional development and in the promotion of best practice.
