Overview

As a Band 5 Staff Nurse within our Inpatient Mental Health team at Wellsprings Hospital, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, recovery-focused care to adults experiencing acute mental health challenges. You will be a key member of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team, working collaboratively with colleagues from a range of professional backgrounds to provide holistic, person-centred support for our service users. This is a rewarding and varied role where your compassion, clinical expertise, and commitment to teamwork will make a real difference to people\'s lives. You will be responsible for leading the clinical management of designated service users, supporting their journey towards recovery, and ensuring their safety and dignity at all times. Responsibilities
  • Lead the clinical management of designated service users, including assessment, planning, and implementation of nursing care.
  • Support and supervise junior staff and students in patient activities.
  • Observe, report, and record changes in patients\' physical and mental health.
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) to plan and deliver care.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance.
  • Provide and supervise personal care and daily living activities.
  • Deliver therapeutic activities and emotional support to patients.
  • Undertake physical observations and report exceptions appropriately.
  • Complete and review clinical and risk assessments in line with Trust policies.
  • Administer prescribed medication in accordance with Trust policy.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, carers, and other professionals.
  • Act as keyworker for designated clients, including admissions.
