Job description

This is an incredible opportunity for a talented Care Manager to lead a Mental Health Service and run a gated community supporting adults with mental health conditions. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of registered care management experience, a desire to provide excellent and supportive service to vulnerable adults, and a driven mindset. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a culture of performance and excellence, focusing on person-centred care and rehabilitation. During your first few months, you will be expected to increase the number of service users within the properties.

About the Service: The service is a gated community consisting of an 18-bed care home, supported living homes, and apartments.

Main Duties:

  • Ensure that all regulatory requirements are met and that staff are aware of the relevant regulations that apply to the service being managed.
  • Provide leadership of the administration, care, and people management functions of the organisation, ensuring all services are delivered effectively.
  • Lead marketing efforts for The Provider and promote its services at the agreed prices.
  • Maintain the operations of the service at the standard agreed with the Registered Provider, within the financial budget or other parameters set by the Provider.
  • Maintain current care and management skills, undertaking necessary training and development to uphold standards of practice.
  • Manage the services within The Agency in accordance with standards agreed with the Registered Provider, legislative requirements, and relevant regulations, following accepted best practices.
  • Notify the Care Quality Commission at least one month prior to an absence of 28 days or more (except in emergencies, within one week), providing details such as duration, reason, arrangements for running the establishment, and responsible person's details.
  • Notify the supervisor and/or regulator of return within 7 days of returning from an absence of 28 days or more.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of Care Management experience
  • Level 5 diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care
