Responsibilities
  • Take the lead in registering the home with Ofsted
  • Recruit, build, and inspire your own staff team
  • Deliver high-quality, child-centred care in line with the Children's Homes Regulations 2015
  • Ensure smooth admissions and transitions for young people
  • Build strong relationships with professionals, families, and community services
  • Maintain compliance, manage budgets, and ensure robust safeguarding
  • Be part of an on-call rota to support service continuity
Qualifications
  • Join from the pre-registration phase and shape the home your way
  • Backed by an experienced Responsible Individual and provider
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Residential Childcare)
  • At least 2 years' experience supervising staff in a children's home
  • Sound understanding of care planning, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance
  • Passion for working therapeutically with children and young people
  • Proven Ofsted track record (Good or Outstanding)
  • Full UK driving licence and Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
