Homes for Support is proud to announce the launch of our fostering agency, a vital new service aimed at providing children and young people with safe, nurturing, and homely environments. We are recruiting a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager/Supervising Social Worker to lead this exciting new venture and impact young lives.

As Registered Manager/Supervising Social Worker, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the fostering service, ensuring full compliance with fostering regulations and national standards.
  • Providing supervision, support, and guidance to foster carers, equipping them with the skills and resources to provide outstanding care.
  • Conducting regular assessments and reviews of foster carers and placements to secure the best outcomes for children and young people.
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the fostering service.
  • Collaborating with external agencies, including local authorities, health services, and education providers, to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to care.
  • Managing and supporting a team of social workers, providing regular supervision, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely record-keeping and reporting in line with regulatory requirements.

To be considered for the role, you will be:

  • A qualified Social Worker with a degree in Social Work.
  • Registered with the relevant professional body (e.g., Social Work England).
  • Experienced in a supervisory or managerial role within a fostering or social care setting.
  • Knowledgeable in fostering regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • A strong leader with excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Passionate about creating and maintaining safe, loving, and stable homes for children and young people.

You will receive:
