TLC Rehab is seeking a Registered Manager (Full-time) to lead our regulated activity – Accommodation for Persons Who Require Treatment for Substance Misuse – at our private residential detox and rehabilitation service in North London.

This is a full-time, on-site leadership role reporting to the Senior Management Team and Nominated Individual, ideal for someone passionate about delivering safe, compliant, person-centred care in line with CQC and best practice.

About the role:

You will have overall responsibility for the operational and clinical excellence of the service, ensuring compliance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and driving forward a culture of quality, safety, and recovery. You’ll work closely with our clinical and care teams, managing staff, supporting inspections, and maintaining service performance and development.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the service in full accordance with CQC regulations and the Orange Book (2017)
  • Ensure safe and effective admissions, care delivery, and discharge procedures
  • Act as the CQC Registered Manager and maintain compliance with the Regulated Activities Regulations
  • Provide direction to a multidisciplinary team, including recruitment, supervision, and training
  • Oversee safeguarding, incident reporting, complaints, audits, and clinical governance
  • Collaborate with the SMT to ensure financial control, occupancy levels, and continuous improvement
  • Liaise with families, professionals, and commissioners to ensure outstanding client experience
  • Drive staff engagement through regular communication, supervision, and performance reviews

About you:

  • Registered Manager experience in a CQC-regulated health or social care setting (substance misuse experience preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014, CQC Fundamental Standards, and relevant clinical guidelines
  • Confident in managing inspections, rota planning, medication protocols, and safeguarding procedures
  • Proven leadership and team development skills
  • Organised, proactive, and committed to recovery-focused care
