Base pay range

We are currently recruiting for a passionate and experienced Registered Manager to lead a well-established Residential Children’s Home in Wolverhampton. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated leader who is ready to take the next step in their career within a supportive and values-driven organisation.

This home provides care and support for children and young people who have experienced early life trauma, neglect, or abuse and may present challenging behaviours. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care while ensuring the home meets all regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the residential home

Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and regulatory frameworks

Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for children and staff

Support and develop staff through effective supervision, training, and leadership

Oversee recruitment, induction, and retention of care staff

Liaise with external professionals, commissioning bodies, and regulators to support the needs of the children

Maintain and update documentation, including the home’s Statement of Purpose and Regulation 45 reports

Be part of the on-call rota and provide crisis management support when required

Register with Ofsted and ensure full compliance with the expectations of the regulatory body

Requirements:

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (or willingness to work towards it)

Proven experience in a senior role within a Residential Children’s Home (Deputy or Registered Manager level)

Strong understanding of safeguarding, child development, and behaviour management

Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills

Full UK manual driving licence (essential)
