Are you an experienced professional in LD residential children's services, particularly in complex care and physical disabilities? If you're looking for a new challenge and a rewarding opportunity, this could be the perfect role for you!

About the Company

Our client is a leading provider of both Children and Adult Services, specializing in LD referrals. In their Children’s Services Division, they run small, family-style homes for children aged 8-18. These homes are designed to be cozy and nurturing, providing a safe environment with top-notch resources, ample staff, and highly trained teams.

They understand the emotional journey for families when a child transitions into their care. They work closely with families to ensure the child remains connected to their family, offering support through visits, events, and holidays.

About the Home

Our client is launching a brand-new home! While awaiting their initial Ofsted rating, their other homes boast 'Good' or 'Outstanding' ratings, and they are confident this one will follow suit. This home will accommodate four children aged 8 to 17, and as the Registered Manager, you'll play a key role in building and leading a new team.

Your Role

As the Registered Manager, you'll oversee the management, leadership, and direction of this new home. You'll be instrumental in recruiting, retaining, and developing staff, including Team Leaders and Deputy Managers. With support from the RI in-house therapists and MDTs, you'll strive to exceed quality standards and provide exceptional support to the children in their care. Your responsibilities will include safeguarding, training, supervision, and ensuring a positive, enriching childhood experience for the children.

About You
  • Experience: Significant experience in a residential childcare setting, preferably with complex health & physical disabilities.
  • Qualifications: A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services or equivalent, or willingness to work towards it. Must have supervisory or management experience to meet OFSTED requirements.
