Registered Manager Children's Home (Whalley Range, Manchester)

Salary: Up to £65,000 DOE

Are you an experienced Registered Manager looking for a new opportunity? This is a fantastic chance to lead an existing 4-bed children's home in Whalley Range, Manchester, working with a dedicated provider that offers genuine career progression and long-term development opportunities.

About the Role:

As Registered Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the home, ensuring high-quality care, compliance with Ofsted regulations, and a supportive team environment. You will play a key role in shaping the future of the service and helping vulnerable children thrive.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Development:
  • Manage and develop a team of Support Workers and Senior Staff.
  • Create a positive, therapeutic, and person-centred environment.
  • Provide ongoing training, mentoring, and performance management.
Care & Safeguarding:
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people.
  • Implement and oversee individual care plans and behaviour management strategies.
  • Work in partnership with social workers, families, and external agencies.
Compliance & Quality Assurance:
  • Maintain and improve the home's current Good Ofsted rating.
  • Ensure all policies, procedures, and safeguarding protocols are strictly followed.
  • Monitor and review the home's performance, identifying areas for improvement.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Registered Manager in a children's EBD residential setting.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or working towards it).
