Job summary

Foster Care Associates (The FCA), part of Polaris Community, is seeking a Registered Manager – Fostering to lead operations in the Ivybridge region in the South West. The role combines strategic leadership with quality and safeguarding responsibilities to deliver excellent outcomes for looked-after children.

You will build strong partnerships with foster carers and local authorities, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive high inspection standards while travelling across the region with a full

Responsibilities

• Accountable for the operational, regulatory and financial performance of the region.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with foster parents, local authorities and other relevant agencies.
• Set exemplary standards of behaviour and performance, promoting the vision and values of Foster Care Associates.
• Work collaboratively with respect and integrity; ensure the region is inspection-ready at all times and achieve high inspection outcomes.
• Travel regularly across the region and surrounding areas with a full driving licence.

Set up by a foster parent and social worker in 1994, Foster Care Associates (FCA) is an established fostering agency which forms part of the Polaris Community, one of the UK’s largest children’s services providers.

The business was born out of an enthusiasm for delivering fostering services to make a positive difference to the lives of looked-after children. Our first office was in the Worcestershire countryside, and that’s still where our head office is today.

Requirements

• Full driving licence and willingness to travel across the region.
• Ability to work in a senior leadership role with a focus on quality, compliance and safeguarding.
• DBS check at enhanced level if successful for the position.
