Overview

Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home – Location: Ringwood, Southwest Hampshire (approx. 10 minutes outside Ringwood in a rural location)

Salary: £36,000 – £45,000 (once registered), up to £60,000 for dual registration (depending on experience)

Working Hours: Flexible rota – not fixed 9–5 (e.g., 2pm–10pm for mentoring or if you wish to be present for a family contact session)

Number of Sleeps Required: Only when covering staff absence

Pay Per Sleep: £55

Service: Children’s Home

Service Users: Children under 16 with EBD and mild LD

Qualifications Required: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)

Experience in Years Required: Minimum 2 years in a leadership role within a Children’s Residential setting

We are looking for a passionate, grounded Registered Manager who has the emotional intelligence, resilience, and professional maturity to lead a small but high-functioning residential home. This person must understand therapeutic care, champion relational practice, and be committed to leading with warmth, clarity and accountability.

You will have:

  • Experience managing or deputising in a children’s home
  • Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards

  • Other Services: supported accommodation for care leavers aged 18+
