Job summary

Guardian Jobs is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a children's residential home in Northampton. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing daily operations, safeguarding, and high-quality care.

You will develop the staff team, ensure compliant care planning and risk management, and work with authorities to improve outcomes while maintaining Ofsted readiness and trauma-informed practice.

Qualifications

• Significant experience within children's residential care.
• Previous management or deputy management experience in a children's home.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and Ofsted requirements.
• Working towards/eligible for Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification for Residential Childcare.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operation of the children's home.
• Maintain safeguarding and child-centred care.
• Lead, supervise and develop the staff team.
• Ensure care planning, risk assessment and behaviour support.
• Maintain Ofsted readiness and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Responsible Individual, placing authorities and social workers.
• Promote trauma-informed and relationship-based practice.
• Keep children's wishes, safety and outcomes at the center of practice.
