Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 (depending on experience)

Are you an experienced leader with a passion for making a difference in the lives of children and young people? We are looking for a registered manager to oversee the daily operations of our children's residential home, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where children can thrive.

About the role:

As the registered manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home, including compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding practices, and delivering outstanding care. You will lead, motivate, and develop your team to maintain the highest standards of care and support for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure the home meets and exceeds Ofsted standards (aiming for Good' or Outstanding')
  • Lead, manage and develop a staff team to deliver high-quality care
  • Promote a child-centred approach to care and support
  • Oversee care plans, risk assessments, and incident reports
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding and child protection policies
  • Manage budgets, staffing, and rota planning
  • Liaise effectively with local authorities, external agencies, and families

Requirements:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare (or working towards)
  • At least 2 years' experience managing or deputising in a children's home
  • Sound knowledge of Ofsted regulations and the Children's Homes Regulations 2015
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to inspire and build a positive team culture
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred)
