Job summary

The Lodge learning disability service in Swallownest, S26 4WB, is recruiting a Registered Learning Disability Nurse for night shifts. You’ll join a supportive team delivering high-standard, person-centred nursing care, with good staffing levels and opportunities for training and progression.

You must hold a current NMC PIN and be committed to dignity, respect and patient autonomy, while following safeguarding and DoLS guidelines in a home-style setting.

Qualifications

• First-level nursing registration with an NMC PIN.
• Experience in learning disability or complex care settings preferred.
• Strong commitment to person-centred care and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan and provide person-centred nursing care for residents.
• Safely administer medications and monitor health changes.
• Promote health, wellbeing and dignity at all times.
• Be the Nurse in Charge when on shift and oversee care delivery.
• Maintain accurate care records and up-to-date care plans.
• Manage behaviours that challenge and support independence.
• Uphold Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty safeguards.
