Job summary

Oakhill STC is seeking an experienced nurse to join the healthcare MDT, delivering trauma-informed care to children and young people in a secure setting. You will lead medication rounds (including controlled drugs), carry out admission health assessments and triage, and manage minor illness and injury.

You will act as a named lead nurse for an area of healthcare, supporting effective pre-release care planning and referrals into wider health services for this vulnerable population.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification required.
• Active, unrestricted NMC PIN required.
• Minimum 1 year's clinical experience.

What we're looking for:

• Degree-level qualification

• Experience working across services/agencies, ideally including a secure environment
• Experience driving innovation or service change
• Strong relational skills with young people presenting complex mental health needs
• Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and mediation skills
