Are you a compassionate and dedicated nurse looking for your next opportunity? We're excited to offer a rewarding role at Avon View. Avon View is a residential home on the outskirts of Christchurch offering accommodation for clients over 3 floors providing nursing, palliative, residential and dementia care. We work in a person-centred way providing support for people living with complex care needs.

The successful candidate will have substantial experience in a nursing role in a care setting ensuring compliance with CCG monitoring and CQC standards. Good communication skills with the ability to effectively manage workloads. Knowledge of relevant Community Care legislation and Health & Safety. IT system knowledge with the ability to maintain accurate records. Registered General Nurse with a current PIN and registered with the NMC.

Responsibilities:
  • Undertake the assessment of complex nursing needs in accordance with policies and procedures, with the involvement of other professionals and families as appropriate.
  • Administer medication including medication administered by injection and pain relief and undertake medical procedures as appropriate including catheter care, venepuncture, wound care, syringe driver care.
  • Support the delivery of services including palliative care to the terminally ill.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant Care regulations and legislation including Health & Safety and Adult Safeguarding.
  • Experience of working in a care setting, care planning and implementation ensuring compliance with CQC regulations.
  • NVQ/QCF Level 4/5 in Health and Social Care qualification is desirable.
  • Competent IT skills with the ability to write reports and maintain accurate records.
