Qualifications

Here at Nurslink we are currently recruiting experienced ITU/A&E nurses to support an NHS trust in Cheshire. Requirements:

Essential:

  1. Registered nurse with a current NMC pin
  2. Relevant Nursing qualifications
  3. Hard working A&E RGN/ITU RGN
  4. 6 months recent experience A&E RGN/ITU RGN
  5. 2 clinical references that cover 3 years work experience

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

As an A&E and ITU nurse you will:

  1. Plan, implement and evaluate care
  2. Assist patients with their activities of daily living
  3. Regular assessment and monitoring of patient’s vital signs
  4. Perform different types of observations and use of different monitoring systems
  5. Use and ensure working function of varied medical equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps, feeding pumps, monitors
  6. Administer medication
  7. Care for patient receiving invasive and non-invasive ventilation
  8. Prioritise care
  9. Recognise patient deterioration and timely escalation of care
  10. Communicate effectively with members of the multidisciplinary team, patients and relatives
  11. Work as part of a team
  12. Make appropriate referrals
  13. Keep accurate and timely patient records
  14. Work under pressure
  15. Problem solving
  16. Follow local policies and procedures
  17. Prepare patient for discharge or transfer to other departments
