Applications are invited for the post of Registered Dental Nurse within the Dental Hospital. Job description
Job responsibilities
  • Supporting undergraduate and postgraduate students during dental procedures.
  • Recording treatment and related clerical work.
  • Preparing materials, instruments, equipment, dressings, and syringes.
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy treatment area, following infection control procedures.
  • Clearing used instruments and materials post-treatment.
  • Assisting with medical emergencies within GDC scope of practice.
  • Supporting investigations such as x-ray procedures, blood, and bacteriological tests.
  • Receiving and triaging emergency patients.
  • Providing pre- and post-operative instructions and ensuring patient understanding.
  • Maintaining and minor repairing of dental equipment.
  • Assisting with treatments and surgical procedures in various hospital areas.
  • Communicating with other hospital departments to coordinate follow-up care.
  • Managing stock, checking expiry dates, and reordering supplies.
  • Providing cover for absent colleagues as necessary.
  • Following all organizational policies and procedures.
