Job summary

NHS Orkney is seeking a highly motivated Registered Nurse to join the Community Nursing Team on the Mainland. The post involves assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of care for individuals and families, in liaison with senior staff.

Based at The Balfour, you will work full-time (36 hours per week) in a permanent role. A driving licence and access to transport are required; joint work across the Isles may be needed.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the NMC (UK) and practising licence.
• Ability to work autonomously in community settings.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care with the Community Nursing Team.
• Work autonomously and as part of the primary care team.
• Travel within Orkney, including required work on the Isles.
