Job summary

Everpool Recruitment is seeking a Registered Clinician for PIP Functional Assessments in Eastbourne. You will use clinical judgement to assess how health conditions affect daily living and independence in a non-treatment role.

The position is hybrid, with 3 days on site and 2 days remote, Monday–Friday. A starting salary of £45,000 is offered, plus up to 10% performance bonus and £2,000 uplift in year one, with full training provided.

Qualifications

• Registration with NMC/HCPC/GPhC is mandatory.
• Minimum 12 months post-registration clinical experience.
• UK adult clinical experience required.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Eastbourne | Hybrid - Homebased and Site Working | Monday–Friday | No Nights or Weekends

Minimum 3 days on site | Applicants must live within 90 minutes of Eastbourne

As a PIP Functional Assessor, you'll assess how physical and mental health conditions affect an individual's daily living and independence.

You’ll still use your clinical judgement, assessment skills and professional experience every day, but within a structured, non-treatment role.

No previous Functional Assessor experience required. Full training provided.

What will you actually do?

• Conduct telephone, video and face-to-face assessments
• Explore physical and mental health conditions and their functional impact
• Review medical evidence and clinical history
• Use your clinical reasoning to interpret complex information
• Produce detailed, accurate and evidence-based clinical reports
• Deliver assessments professionally and sensitively

This is an analytical, report-focused role so strong written communication and confidence producing clinical reports are important.

You’ll need:

• Current NMC, HCPC or GPhC registration
• Minimum 12 months' post-registration clinical experience
• UK adult clinical experience

• Experience producing detailed clinical reports and evidence-based documentation
• Good IT skills and confidence using digital systems
• Eligibility to work in the UK

New to PIP assessment? That's expected.

You’ll receive comprehensive training and ongoing clinical support to help you transfer your existing healthcare experience into functional assessment.

Eastbourne hybrid requirement You'll need to live within a 90-minute commute of Eastbourne and be able to attend the office a minimum of 3 days per week.
